Alarik Sky is a New York based artist whose practice goes back to 2005. Her art dives into a deep connection between two souls in one body. Human and alien from another planet of far away galaxy.
With a use of oil and acrylic paint Alarik reconnects the pieces of her past and current consciousnesses on canvas and a clothing pieces.
Her art explores the hidden life of the soul, the mysteries of the spirit, and the secrets of the Universe. You can find exploration of time and space traveling based on her knowledge of her past life.
Human rights are also important part in her art practice. Through her painting, Alarik gives a voice to those who have traditionally been silenced and denied the right to be heard. Especially women who, throughout history, have been demonized simply for their intelligence, strength, or beauty.
“I remember from my previous life that my alien body had long claws and mouth full of sharp teeth, and yet we didn’t use them to kill for food or for any other purposes except defense. My dream is to bring this way of peaceful existence to Earth.” - Alarik.
